“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part”
An adequate sequel to the original Lego film, this time centering on an invasion by Duplo bricks, as well as a kidnapping of Emmet’s friends by beings from the Systar System of planets. An overall fun movie, with a great message for kids (and adults). To say any more would spoil the film.

“Christopher Robin”
(Streaming on Netflix)
Disney returns to the 100 Acre Wood where Winnie the Pooh and his pals reside in this live action and CG animated film. The titular character says goodbye to his stuffed friends when his parents decide to send him off to boarding school. Decades later Christopher Robin is an overworked business man in London with a family of his own. Beleaguered and stressed, he gets a visit from his silly old bear childhood friend who wants very much to help out.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but then, I have always had a soft spot for the Pooh bear. Sweet and charming, with delightful performances by Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin, Jim Cummings as Pooh and Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eyeore, and many others.

“The Fundamentals of Caring”
(Streaming on Netflix)
2016 Netflix original movie based on the novel The Revised Fundamentals of Caring, is a comedy starring Paul Rudd, Craig Roberts, and Selena Gomez. Rudd’s character Ben is separated from his wife and unemployed. He takes a course on becoming a care giver, and his first assignment is the sarcastic and witty Trevor (Roberts) who lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. While mostly housebound, Ben convinces Trevor to go on a road trip with him to see all the ridiculous tourist traps Trevor watches shows about on TV. Funny and sweet, if slightly predictable.
